About Dr. Rozee Benavides, DN
Co-Founder | Doctor of Naprapathy
Dr. Rozee Benavides or "Dr. Rozee" grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and graduated from Manzano High School, earned two associate's degrees from CNM, obtained a dual bachelor's degree from UNM, and earned her doctorate degree from the Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine in Santa Fe, NM. As a licensed and board-certified doctor of naprapathy in the state of New Mexico, she has experience treating and managing conditions of the musculoskeletal system, connective tissue disorders, and other soft tissue pathologies. She has experience treating pediatrics/adolescents, athletes of all ages, pregnant people, and geriatrics.
Dr. Rozee is also an E-RYT 200, YACEP Yoga Alliance, yoga teacher and began yoga after being cleared by her doctors from her back injury from gymnastics. In search of pain relief, she found a gratitude practice, a means to move that brought her joy, and community.
She has been teaching yoga to adults and children in studios, gyms, and schools in Albuquerque, NM since 2018.
Today, Dr. Rozee's main intention as a yoga instructor is to provide a community for safe, affordable, and joyful movement for her patients at The Backbone.

Rhonda has been actively involved in the healthcare industry for 30+ years with an adult education teaching background. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant in New Mexico and has experience in chronic pain and spine pathologies, acute hospital care with neuro and trauma experience, home healthcare with expertise in geriatrics, joint replacements, etc., and deconditioning syndromes. Her academic background includes an AAS-Information Management, AAS-Military Technology Instructor, AOS-Physical Therapist Assistant, BS-Business Administration, and a Master's in Business Administration.
